Very dry.   It hasn’t rained in over a week and it when it did that broke up a ~3 week dry spell.  And now NOAA’s Quantitative Precipitation Forecast for the next seven days:

That is a really impressive – and not in a good way – dry swath from Texas through the midwest and New England.  As a gardener I want some rain.   We’re about 7 inches short for the year – about 24 inches have fallen to date when the norm is about 31.  Drought messes up fall planting season!
